In addition to this Ryan  is currently a certification candidate and pursuing his Sport Massage Therapist (C) designation through the Canadian Sport Massage Therapists Association.

Ryan's Sport Massage experience includes CFL football players while still studying massage; marathon and triathlon events; the World Sprint Canoe and Kayak Championships; Provincial and National level soccer players; Major Midget, Junior A and Major Junior hockey players; the Tim Horton's Brier - Men's National Curling Championships; and the World Junior Track and Field Championships. Most recently, Ryan served as the Massage Therapy Lead for the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

In addition to Sport Massage, Ryan began to develop an interest in Chronic Pain conditions while still attending Massage Therapy school. Ryan completed his hospital outreach hours at the Toronto Rehab Institute on the Acquired Brain Injury and Stroke floors. As an Instructor at the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy, Ryan was also the Neurological Conditions Outreach supervisor.

Outside of his practice, Ryan was an Instructor at the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in Halifax from 2007 to 2011. During his time as an instructor, Ryan taught Massage Theory & Techniques to first year students where the focus is not only how to apply various techniques, but why they are being applied. Once students reach their second year, Ryan taught the Kinesiology and Remedial Exercise courses, where the focus is on advancing students’ awareness and understanding of human movement and exercise prescription.

Currently, Ryan's clinical focus is on applying the most recent research on Fascia to his practice. Ryan continually reviews the latest research in this area, looking for connections that will help to create and implement more effective treatment plans for his patients.

Away from work, Ryan lives in the Halifax area with his wife,  Jennifer, and their daughter, Olivia.
